Senior Account Manager

The Dow Chemical Company has an opportunity for a Senior Account Manager (m/f) for Dow Epoxy business located in Istanbul, Turkey.

The incumbent is expected to be a dynamic leader with outstanding selling skills who can energize, motivate and direct internal and external stakeholders. The Epoxy Account Manager for Turkey secures and accelerates growth in sales and profitability at major key epoxy accounts in the country -providing strategic leadership and direction to the Epoxy business. Depending on the experience and profile of the candidate, this role will possibly include account management responsibilities also for customers in the neighbouring countries.

This position reports to the EMEA Commercial Director, Dow Epoxy Products & Intermediates

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Actively works to identify and meet the needs of current and perspective customers by promoting and selling the entire product range of Dow Epoxy.
• Possesses a thorough knowledge of the epoxy products portfolio and the targeted markets and applications, such as coatings, civil engineering, composites.
• Uses account planning tools, margin management tools, and electronic technology to develop and share account plans with appropriate stakeholders.
• Defines and achieves annual, value-creating goals with the assigned customers and products and consistent with the business strategy.
• Develops and builds relationships with internal and external customers and influencers.
• Produces appropriate sales forecasts and is able to capitalize on/ compensate for market changes.
• Recognizes, anticipates, and solves customer problems resulting in business opportunities and revenue growth.
• Understands and proactively analyzes customer’s product and service needs, industry, and business.
• Shares business and industry intelligence with Dow counterparts (marketing, research and development, tech service, customer service, etc) to promote increased revenue and value.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Marketing or Business Administration is required,. Masters degree will be an asset.
• Possess excellent command of English & Turkish Language Skills
• A minimum of 10 years of industry experience
• More than 10 years of sales responsibility including five at complex large accounts
• Technology understanding extended to application
• Skills in (a) negotiation, (b) bias for actions, (c ) persuasive and influence, (e) interpersonal effectiveness, (f) adaptive for change and crisis management
• Willing to travel extensively across the assigned territory
• Valid driving licence and completion of military service for male candidates is required
