Venue Finder

Position Summary:

The primary role of this position is to actively source venues within Turkey from a set account base or industry, managed by the HWS Account Directors, and support to convert & increase their revenue.  The individual will work closely with the relevant Account Directors, line manager, the hotels and agents/clients to seek new business, maintain existing business and support to grow the account.  A requirement will also be to participate in other sales initiatives such as client Training, Workshops, and Roadshows. Supporting function for additional administrative tasks for the HWS team.The Venue Finder will also be responsible for updating and maintaining a clean booking system – currently Salesforce. This is an owner agnostic role.

What will I be doing?

Planning Activities 20%

• Research new leads for identified business opportunities.

• Follow up on leads from either market research, event follow up, hotel contact or other sources.

• Work with the hotels and Directors of Sales in line with hotel(s) market expectations

• Keep up to date with new openings, hotel renovations and monthly promotions.  Use own initiative to find out information and communicate to the rest of the team – if appropriate.

Controlling Activities 40%

• Support in managing a portfolio of clients / agents

• Support in contracting new and existing business

• Maintain and grow client relationships

• Increase the revenue and market share of portfolio of accounts

• Work with the hotels and DOS in line with market expectations

• Review opportunities to instigate new business

• Attend familiarisation trips to improve product knowledge as needed

• Build strong business relationships with the Turkish owner agnostic hotels and sales network

• Create accurate written quotations and confirmations for clients in line with department standards

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date customer records in the Hilton bookings systems and rectify errors immediately.

• Liase with line manager on a daily basis on performance

• Liase with line manager on any issues / concerns that arise

• Maintain Files & accurate Account records

• Updates SFDC in accordance with SFDC audit.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• GCSE  (or equivalent) certificate (minimum requirement)

• Experience within a sales environment working to set standards.

• Proven experience managing both internal and external customers at all levels.

• Hotel Reservations, Call Centre, Conference and Events sales experience

• Ability to manage extensive amounts of information

• Fluency in spoken and written English and Turkish

• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-GCSE  (or equivalent)degree/diploma preferred

• Knowledge of SFDC, Delphi or a similar database/reservations  system preferable

• Geographical knowledge of Turkey
