SOFTWARE ARCHITECT (EU PROJECTS)

The software architect will be responsible for preparing, assisting and reviewing technical designs and providing technical guidance to development teams.

The position entails research, development and analysis of solutions based upon the customer requirements and providing guidance to the entire development teams regarding how the work will be executed.

He/she must have a good understanding of large enterprise systems in public sector esp. in municipalities using Java, Microsoft and Oracle technologies and surrounding concerns such as performance, scalability, security and maintainability.

The successful candidate will also apply best practices and adopted software development methodologies within an agile development environment.

He/she proactively improves software development processes as a member of the Software Process Improvement Group.

The ideal candidate for this position should have following skills;

Degree in computer sciences or related areas (MS or higher degree preferable)

Experience in EU programmes (FP7, Eureka, CIP ICT PSP, etc.)

Minimum 5 years commercial software development and solution design experience within a technology consulting firm, or within an Information Technology organization in a mid-to-large size corporation

Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

Experience in Geographic Information System (GIS) systems and components is a plus

Solid background on object-oriented software development.

Experience in Microsoft technologies is a plus. (C# 3.5 and 4.0, ASP.Net, Web
Services, Visual Studio 2008/2010, etc.)

Expertise in recent open source Java technologies and frameworks including but not limited to Java 6, Web Services, Hibernate, Spring, ESB, AJAX, XML, Java Server Faces, JUnit, Log4J, Maven

Experience in Oracle UCM, Business Process Management (BPM) is a plus
