Job Description
We're looking for a freelance full stack web developer to join our remote team. You'll be contributing to custom CRM systems for European businesses . We make tools that range from internal dashboards to complex platforms with third-party integrations and business-critical workflows.
The position is fully remote and communication is entirely in English , so strong English proficiency is required.
Our stack is React.js + Node.js + SQLite. Familiarity with these is important, but what matters most is your depth of understanding. We care far more about how you think, how you code, and how you structure systems, and your understanding of software architecture than your formal background, job titles, or how many years you've been working.
We provide high pay and wish to work with developers who take pride in the art of programming: people who obsess over clean, long-lasting, maintainable and reliable code, understand the trade-offs behind architectural decisions, and enjoy thinking about how things work under the hood.
What to Expect
- No LeetCode -style whiteboard tests
- Instead: a remote interview where you can show off your code, what you built, how it works, and why you did it that way. The ideal candidate has one or more projects that they've done as hobby or professionally with source code we can read. As an example of what we care about the most: it's far more important and impressive if you could explain how client and server side routing is done fundamentally than knowing how to use React Router. You show a much deeper understanding if you can set up a website from scratch and understand each component than relying on Next.js scaffolding.

Computing Den was founded in 2022 by Shahab Sean Shirazi, a full-stack developer with over a decade of experience. We're a small, remote-first studio focused on building well-architected, high-impact software. Our clients are primarily European companies who understand and respect the development process and value quality far above everything else. We aim to do serious work with a team that shares similar values.
Projects are led by Sean, who stays close to the codebase and helps ensure that technical decisions are both thoughtful and scalable.

Required Skills
- Solid skills across both front-end and back-end development
- A clear understanding of core web and software fundamentals and not just framework usage
- Strong English skills for written and verbal communication
- Bonus: UI/UX sensibilities or design experience
