BSO Coordinator

Position Title: Broadcast Schedule Operations Coordinator & Content Ops Cover

Location: Istanbul

Reports to: BSO SEE & Turkey Supervisor / Programming and Compliance Manager

The purpose of this role is to plan and prepare the daily presentation schedule for DNI’s FTA Turkish channel in conjunction and coordinating with the programming, on air promotion, sales, media planning and inventory management departments; ensuring accuracy, completeness and delivery, according to the proscribed deadlines.

The Coordinator will be expected to work as an integral part of the team in Istanbul working as part of a small team, reporting into the London BSO structure and may be required to cover duties across other teams on site at specific times or work outside normal hours to complete essential tasks.

• Creation and finalization of the daily transmission schedule, ensuring accuracy and efficiency whilst remaining reactive to the business.
• Liaising with the Promotions Manager and Scheduling Manager to ensure smooth hand over of prepped schedules ready for promo placement.
• Identify issues and work with relevant departments to ensure all elements air successfully and fulfill RTUK requirements.
• To fully understand break patterns and templates and ensure they are checked and loaded into the system and that all final commercial loads or amendments are actioned.
• Organization and regular revision of presentation templates.
• Liaise with the channel team to check all media items are present or accounted for prior to download of schedules to transmission.
• Perform necessary checks and final sign off on the presentation schedule.
• Liaise with transmission at Dogus, confirming correct versions have been received and necessary changes to ‘on-air’ take place.
• Perform daily presentation schedule reconciliation and provide any reports, including discrepancy reports as required by management.
• Attending meetings and building relationships with key contacts in the BSO London and Inventory Management Warsaw offices as well as with the Dogus Playout Centre team.
• Ensure appropriate and regular feedback and escalation of any issues as necessary to the BSO Supervisor and the Programming and Compliance Manager
• Ensure all IBMS scheduling system issues are reported appropriately and followed up and any testing of new functions is carried out

• The Coordinator will ideally have one or more years’ experience in a presentation/promotion scheduling, traffic or a related role. However, candidates with an exceptional attitude may also be considered.
• Computer literate, ideally with prior experience working with IBMS or a similar scheduling system.
• Excellent communication skills are a must.
• Great attention to detail and able to work to deadlines efficiently.
• Ability to work with others and to follow instructions.

Metics:

• Delivery and sign-off of the daily transmission schedules, within deadlines and with a 99.999% accuracy rating and all checks completed.
• Successfully working as part of the team to ensure all schedules for your channel/s are delivered in a timely manner.
• Working with other colleagues and departments to ensure all matters relating to the creation of the daily presentation schedule and associated work processes are followed.
• Appropriate communication and reports delivered to line supervisor and on site managers, as required
