The Governing Body is seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced School Business Manager (SBM) to join our team.
The SBM works as part of the Senior Leadership Team to assist the Head teacher in ensuring that the school meets its strategic aims.
The SBM provides professional leadership and management of administration & premises support staff, in order that their effectiveness supports learning and achievement throughout the school.  
The SBM promotes the highest standards of business ethos and ensures compliance and effective use of resources in all administrative functions.

Required Skills

The successful applicant will:
  • Be qualified to graduate level (ideally in accountancy, business management or a related discipline).
  • A School Business Management qualification is an advantage.
  • Be experienced in working at a senior management level in an organisation or education establishment
  • Be experienced in financial management and accounting
  • Be experienced in line management with proven ability in leading managing and motivating staff
  • Have experience of compliance in Health & Safety regulations and risk management
  • Be able to demonstrate experience of premises and facilities management
  • Have excellent IT skills and experience in use of finance and information management software
  • Demonstrate an ability to develop and establish positive relationships with all stakeholders
  • Demonstrate flexibility and an ability to work under pressure
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English.
