Job Description

Our robust and user-friendly e-commerce portal achieved a swift success and this rapid breakthrough led to the acquisition of our firm by a global technology group.

Now we are seeking talented and self-starter team members who have working experience in a Tier 2 Software Support Engineer position. As a tier 2 software support engineer you will be responsible for providing, high-quality technical support to the Shopside portal users.

What you should expect
  • Deliver effective technical customer support to our rapidly growing customer base, delivering solutions to both technical and non-technical end-users via telephone.
  • Take ownership of customer issues reported and see problems through to resolution
  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve customer issues
  • Remotely connect to customers’ installations to troubleshoot their issues
  • Review product’s log files to gain further knowledge of problems encountered by customers
  • Evaluate system responses and act accordingly
  • Supporting/Participating in the software development team regarding the development of some modules of the portal
  • Find bugs and report them
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required Skills

What We Are Looking For
  • 2+ years’ experience as a software support engineer
  • Experience in MYSQL server databases
  • Advanced level in SQL script reading/writing
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server Profiler
  • Experience in Ms. Office Programs
  • Detailed Knowledge of HTTP protocol
  • Experience with basic web development, HTML, and SQL  

Nice To haves
  • Experience with PHP7 without Framework
  • Experience in using tools like; Postman, SequelPro/HeidiSQL, VSCode
  • Familiarity with basic security topics such as XSS and SQL Injection
  • Knowledge in the e-commerce ecosystem
