Job Description
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Cambridge Lower Secondary English Curriculum.
- Develop students’ reading, writing, listening, speaking, and critical-thinking skills.
- Create a student-centered, communicative, and inquiry-based learning environment.
- Use differentiated teaching strategies to meet students’ diverse learning needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Support students in accordance with the Turkish National Curriculum and LGS English requirements.
- Maintain effective classroom management and positive student engagement.
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues regarding student progress.
- Contribute to department activities, school projects, and academic development initiatives.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching (ELT), English Language and Literature, or a closely related field.
- Pedagogical Formation Certificate, where applicable.
- Excellent command of English at C1–C2 level.
- Ability to use English confidently and accurately as the primary language of classroom instruction and academic communication.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge Lower Secondary English Curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of the Turkish National Curriculum and LGS English examination system.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and student engagement skills.
- Ability to apply communicative, inquiry-based, and student-centered teaching methodologies.
- Experience in a Cambridge or international school environment is highly preferred.
