Job Description
- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the Cambridge Lower Secondary Mathematics Curriculum.
- Develop students’ mathematical thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and inquiry skills.
- Apply student-centered and differentiated teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain effective classroom management and create a positive learning environment.
- Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Support students in accordance with the Turkish National Curriculum and LGS requirements.
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues regarding student progress.Actively contribute to department and school-wide academic activities.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field.
- Pedagogical Formation Certificate.Advanced proficiency in English (minimum C1 level), with the ability to teach Mathematics confidently in English.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge Lower Secondary Mathematics Curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of the Turkish National Curriculum and LGS examination system.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and student engagement skills.
- Ability to implement student-centered, inquiry-based, and problem-solving approaches.
- Experience in a Cambridge or international school environment is highly preferred.
- A collaborative, growth-oriented, and student-focused approach to teaching.
