Senior Business Analyst

The Senior Analyst, Sales Force Planning & Effectiveness plays an important role within the Business Excellence group. The primary responsibility of the role is to provide timely and accurate completion of routine and ad-hoc analytics specific to sales force activities, targeting, performance, opportunities, geographic product/market trend analysis, and tracking specific research/programs. This role interacts cross functionally with Field Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance, Information Technology and Human Resources.

• Manage and Maintain all Sales Force Alignments
• Support Targeting & Call Planning activities
• Participate in the development modeling and operation of the Field Sales Incentive Compensation plans
• Manage and Maintain field force related applications
• Manage the delivery and maintenance of all sales and marketing reports
• Conduct analyses to assess the effectiveness of alignment and targeting efforts
• Provide ad hoc analytic support through utilization of the commercial data warehouse
• Conduct data investigations resulting from Field inquiries as required
• Participate in the creation and delivery of effective presentations to management and for the purpose of sales training in the areas of data, analysis and reporting
• Develop relationships with internal customers and resolve inquiries as appropriate
• Develop suggestions/recommendations designed to increase effectiveness of information/tools to customers
• Day to day management of vendors and their services that enable Commercial team to be more effective, while ensuring quality deliverables
• Establish policies and procedures to maintain integrity of data and ensure compliance with regulations
• Ensure data integrity and adequate data flow between customer master and related downstream systems used to support Sales, Marketing, Managed Markets, and Medical Affairs groups

• 3+ years of current and related industry experience working with business intelligence, data analysis, and data management tools
• Significant experience working with 3rd party pharmaceutical data sources (IMS, pharmacy and wholesaler data)
• Strong analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to identify issues and problems within product sales and prescriber information data sets
• Demonstrated success in leading and directing teams to achieve project objectives and goals within assigned timelines
• Effective presentation as well as written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects that require collaboration across functional areas
• Team player able to develop rapport and credibility with field and home office personnel including management
• In-depth experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Business Intelligence tools and databases (e.g. SQL)
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field with a preference for an educational focus in the areas of business administration or information systems / technology
• Good command in both written and spoken English
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to navigate and be successful in a fast-paced, highly-matrixed work environment
