Assistant Spa Manager

Assumes responsibility for the execution of the Spa Department policies and procedures and manages the daily operation. Follows-up and gives all support for the duties of all subordinates staff in Spa Department. Maintains operating criteria/spa concepts and is responsible for the co-ordination and scheduling of all Spa and Health Club related services such as assistance with policies, philosophy and objectives.  Assumes the duties of Spa Manager in his/her absence

Key FunctionsPeople Assists the Spa Manager with the supervision, management and growth of all Spa and Health Club staff Interviews, trains, schedules, monitors employee performance, discipline and completes payroll for all personnel who report to him/her Displays a high level of integrity and professionalism at all times in dealing with guest and employees Provides and shares timely operational feedbacks and meeting minutes with Spa and Health Club staff Maintains favorable working relations among employees to promote maximum morale, productivity and efficiency. Conveys clear instructions and guidance to staff Actively participates in Managerial development trainings in alignment with the Career Development Plan. Builds and maintains confidence and credibility with employees, supervisory and managerial staff. Acts as an objective third party in counseling, problem solving or conflict situations. Deals with all disciplinary and grievance matters in a consistent and confidential manner and ensures each issues is appropriately documented Works quickly in a high-pressure environment and is able to handle stress Communicates in a clear manner; is easily understood; listens attentively; does not interrupt others Responds properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation Performs other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff; respects authority Verifies that staff is present and performing duties Product Contributes in maintaining Spa and Health Club as well as Hotel standards Anticipates in advance all materials and supplies, assure their availability Oversees the fitness and spa equipment maintenance Knows amenities, equipment, products, treatments, packages, special current promotions of spa and health club including benefits, indications & contraindications Deep understanding of member fitness and health assessment, consultation and follow-up programsDevelops and maintains spa treatment menus and health club programs
