Project Assistant for an EU funded civil society project

Our Institute is currently working on an European Union (EU) funded civil societies network project on language rights. The project will continue for 29 months. Reporting to the Project Coordinator of the organisation, the candidate will be responsible for assisting the organisation, coordination and completion of all tasks in the project, including the following:

Working closely with the Project Coordinator to keep him/her well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.

Organising project activities and taking responsibility in making sure that all project tasks are completed on time. 

Travelling within Turkey and to abroad when necessary.

Making sure that the project budget is followed and all records are kept. 

Managing communication and preparing correspondences and reports.

Executing daily operational and organisational works.

Plans and coordinates meetings.

Ensuring communication and coordination between the team and the project management.

Strong team player, preferably with previous experience of managing projects, 

Detail-oriented with good organisational and communication skills,

Highly skilled at developing strong relationships and working collaboratively with a broad range of people from different ethnic origins and in a variety of roles,

Ability to coordinate workloads and tasks, and meet deadlines effectively,

Good report writing skills, 

Being able to use initiative in carrying out tasks,

Basic knowledge of accountancy,

Very good knowledge and ability to use social media and basic computer applications,

Having advanced speaking and writing skills in English.

Applicants who hold a business or related post-graduage degree from a reputable university is preferred. Only applicants with no military service obligations will be considered.
